Individual Lessons - If the student is taking lessons on an irregular schedule, payment for each lesson must be provided at the end of each lesson.

Regular Monthly Sessions - Payment is due at the end of the first lesson in a monthly session. For students continuing lessons on a regular monthly basis, this means payment will be collected at the beginning of the month.

Cash, Check, or Online Payment - Original Music Lessons accepts payments in checks or cash or though the use of our PayPal link found under our "Pay For Your Lessons" link. If you would like to pay by check, they are to be made out to Original Music Lessons.

Student Responsibilities

Materials - Students are responsible for the purchase of their own books, instruments, and other materials needed for the lessons they are receiving. Our teachers will assist in referring our students to where they can obtain these items.

Practicing - Each teacher instructs how much practice is ideal for each student and will encourage students in their practicing. Nevertheless, once the instructor is gone it is up the student to do their own practicing. Progress will be made most quickly by those students who maintain the recommended practicing time. Parents are also encouraged to be involved in their students practice. Taking the time to listen to your child play their weekly songs, or creating a set time for practicing in the students daily routine are good ways to become involved.

Attendance – Students are responsible for their time slot with Original Music Lessons. If notified in advance, teachers providing the lessons will try to do the best they can to work with the student’s schedule, but the teacher, or Original Music Lessons, cannot be held responsible for making up time the student missed.

Student Contracts- Students or parents of students being taught by Original Music Lessons are to sign and hand in a student contract with their first payment of lessons. This student contract ensures that both the students and the parents understand the business arrangements of how these lessons will work. The student contract can be found on our website and can be printed out at home, or can be provided by the teacher upon the first regular lesson.

Teacher Responsibilities

Promptness - Each teacher is responsible for arriving promptly for lesson times. If a teacher is going to be late for any reason, it is the teachers responsibility to contact their student a provide notice of the situation. If this standard is not met, students or parents are welcome to inform the Original Music Lessons office.

Professionalism – Our teachers are responsible for portraying a high level of professionalism while providing instruction to students. They must remain civil and patient with students no matter the circumstance and represent a nice, positive feeling for playing music. They must also dress appropriately and responsibly for each teaching occasion. If this standard is not met, students or parents are welcome to inform the Original Music Lessons office.

Attendance – If a teacher is unable to keep their appointed lesson time for a student it is each individual teacher’s responsibility to contact the affected students of the cancellation. Upon this event lessons will either be reimbursed for the missed time or will be given a credit for one free lesson in the following weeks.
